To foster the progressiveness in various ways, radio is an instrumental tool in the
developing countries like Nepal, even in the 21 st century. It is because, still, the majority of
the population of the country reside in the rural areas where internet, newspapers and
television are difficult to access in one hand, and the other, radio has become a medium of
side entertainment while being busy in the physical works. In this background, radio station
can serve better for our mission. Standing on this fact, we established a FM radio (Radio
Janata 89.1MHz) in Kathmandu valley. We intend to extend this coverage all over the
country very soon.
